Janet Spurr and Hilary Emerson Lay present a workshop designed for authors who have already self-published their own books (or have had them published by small presses) and are now faced with the arduous task of promoting themselves. This workshop will cover: • How to get your foot in the door at bookstores, and sell to other stores • How to promote your book, before, during and after book events • How to get more reorders • Social networking, blogging, Facebook, Twitter and website design suggestions • Publishing industry organizations to join and industry publications to read • Suggestions from a seasoned bookstore manager’s perspective of how best to help bookstores sell more copies of your books. See presenters’ full bios at http://www.salemlitfest.com/authors. Event to be held at Salem Five Community Room, 210 Essex Street, Salem.
